Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 3-10g Clears Heat, drains Dampness, drains Fire and resolves Fire toxicity.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Zhi Gan Cao 2-10g Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
Rz. Zingiberis Gan Jiang 3-10g Warms the Middle, expels Cold and dispels Wind-Dampness seeping into the Lower Jiao.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for vomiting of saliva or dry heaves due to Cold-induced congested fluids.
With Zhi Gan Cao, for epigastric pain and vomiting due to Spleen and Stomach Deficiency Cold.
With Zhi Ban Xia and REn Shen, for vomiting due toe Deficiency Cold.
Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 3-10g Releases the Exterior, assists Yang, adjusts the Ying and Wei, releases the muscle layer, unblocks Yang, transforms Qi and thin mucus, warms and facilitates the flow of Qi through the channels and collaterals and Blood through the vessels, warms the Middle and directs Turbid Yin downward.
Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 2-10g Tonifies Spleen and Stomach Qi and tonifies Qi in Deficiency patients with Exterior conditions.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 5-10g Dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm, descends Rebellious Qi and stops vomiting.
With Huang Lian, for epigastric distention and indigestion due to a simultaneous invasion of Hot and Cold pathogenic influences into the Stomach.
Fr. jujube Da Zao 3-6g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • This formula is not effective for nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain due to Qi or Food Stagnation.
  • Contraindicated for those with nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain due to Yin Deficiency.
